Conceptual Design is the process of working with the Client to create visualizations of the solution to the Problem Statement. It is useful as a starting point since it quickly communicates with the Client in a language that they will understand rather than a long narrative or two dimensional plans and diagrams. It is not intended to reflect actual conditions since those will be investigated in the Programming and Schematic Design phases. Typically at the end of this phase we will have a bubble diagram, a rough layout of the area, a render or two of the work, and a very good understanding of the goals of the project.
